Information, Data, and Privacy Strategist
I am a highly experienced information & data management and privacy professional with over 20 years' experience. I am Director of Data Potentials, a consultancy unlocking organisations information, data and privacy potential.
I work with senior stakeholders and teams across organisations to drive best practice information and data management, data exploitation, and governance, with the aim of creating sector-leading services and innovation and putting information, data and privacy at the heart of decision making. I also provide advice and guidance support with the implementation of M365 services.
As a data protection officer I gave advice and guidance to the Higher and Further Education sector during the implementation of the UK GDPR. I recently worked with a former colleague at Jisc and the ICO to create a mental Health Code of Practice for the HE and FE Sector as part of the ICO’s prestigious Sandbox Project. I am also a member of two Global Microsoft Customer Advisory Boards on Microsoft Purview and Privacy giving design advice and guidance on information management, governance and data privacy.
I am the former secretary and now vice chair (internal governance), trustee, accredited member and fellow of the UK Information and Records Management Society
